Type the easting and northing, paste lat/lon from Google Maps, or click the map.
East-west by north-south, 0.25 to 5 km each.
Files are named after the OS grid reference of the centre.
- Coordinates are true British National Grid (EPSG:27700), so the plans drop into place in Revit or AutoCAD with shared coordinates.
- OpenStreetMap data is converted from latitude/longitude with a standard Helmert transformation, accurate to a few metres. Data quality varies because it is maintained by volunteers.
- Not a measured survey: suitable as context, not for dimensioning.
- Plans must credit "© OpenStreetMap contributors" (ODbL). The note is already written under the frame.
- Large tiles (over 3 km) can take a minute or two and produce files of tens of MB.
- Data is downloaded live from OpenStreetMap's public servers (Overpass). When they are busy it can take a few minutes or fail; try again later or with a smaller tile.
